Boracay Trip
itsapurplehaze
Since I had a lot of time in my hands, the boyfriend and I booked a flight to Boracay for a much needed R&R. Good thing also that he was able to score a great hotel packge thanks to Metrodeal. as early as August, we booked our trip for October. It was quite an expensive trip because nothing comes cheap in Bora I tell you but it was well-worth it. Spending 3 days in the island paradise was one of the greatest adventures we had. Armed only with cameras and mobile phones, I purposely left my laptop to give time to enjoy the splendor Bora has to offer us.

Let the pictures do the talking for now.

Twin rainbows greeted us in the morning

Has in the sands

Our hotel room

View of the hotel. We stayed at Grand Boracay Resort. Had a great time staying here and they have clean rooms and friendly staff too!

Amazing lunch of crabs and shrimps!

Haggardness leaving Bora at Caticlan Jetty Port

Overall, Boracay is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I'll definitely be back with the family in tow next time!
I can't wait to explore more of the island too!

Back from the boondocks

I have been meaning to blog since I have had much time to do this ever since I quit my job since June. Good thing my dear friend and probably my only blog reader Karl, tweeted how he missed reading my blog. I was like, wow, I have a blog reader?? I thought I was only talking to myself the whole time!! LOL Yes it has been that long since I wrote something meaningful here. I guess I was just enjoying unemployment too much that I forgot to blog about my happy days. LOL

Now where was I this past months?? Here's a small list of what I have been doing so far:

- spent an entire month back home just chilling with the family
- went swimming with the fambam and the kids almost every weekend of September thus the uneven skin tone that I have now
- played everyday with my adorable niece
- caught up with much needed sleep time
- managed to land a work-at-home job to provide for my basic needs
- spent a ridiculous amount of time doing seo work and work related blog posts
- lost 11 pounds (and counting) from a less rice diet. I would really have to completely eliminate rice in my daily diet but I might fain just by doing so. Girls need carbs too you know! LOL
- renewed my passport
- conducted a mini tour around Tuguegarao for my favorite optometrist friends
- capped my vacation by going to Boracay for a much needed R&R with the boyfriend
- had a job interview for a non-callcenter company for the first time after 7 years

That's it so far. It's been 2 busy months and it's been effing great. Resigning from my stressful 7-year callcenter stint was by far one of the most risque and best decisions I have ever made. It was bittersweet but had to let go and learn to do other things. I'm doing so much more now and i'm just making the most out of it.

Don't get me started on my Bora experience because I have that reserved for the next post! Stay tuned folks coz I'm so back!! :p

funny group

Got this post in Jim Paredes's Google + account. Worth sharing! This is kinda long but is so funny when you read it all up. I smiled, laughed and agreed. So true! Read on!

A group of 15-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Dairy Queen next to the Ocean View restaurant because they had only $6.00 among them and Jimmy Johnson, the cute boy in Social Studies lived on that street.

10 years later, the group of 25-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the beer was cheap, the restaurant offered free snacks, the band was good, there was no cover and there were lots of cute guys.

10 years later, the group of 35-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the cosmos were good, it was right near the gym and, if they went late enough, there wouldn't be too many whiny little kids.

10 years later, the group of 45-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the martinis were big and the waiters had tight pants and nice buns.

10 years later, the group of 55-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the prices were reasonable, the wine list was good, the restaurant had windows that opened (in case of a hot flashes), and fish is good for
cholesterol.

10 years later, the group of 65-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the lighting was good and the restaurant had an early bird special.

10 years later, the group of 75-years-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the food was not too spicy and the restaurant was handicapped-accessible.

10 years later, the group of 85-years-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant because they had never been there before.

roadtrip
itsapurplehaze
I finally had that much awaited roadtrip! I'm now here in my parent's house, endured a 12-hour bus ride to my hometown and had my niece's 3rd birthday today. I arrived 2 days ago and has been pretty busy attending to the little one so I only had time today to blog about it. I have yet barely 2 weeks to hang out and spend quality time with the family.

So far, I'm enjoying the fresh air and province life. Not missing the bustling city of Manila yet though.
Let's see how this goes.

Adventures of TinTin
itsapurplehaze

I’m gushing over Adventures of TinTin!!! Reminds me when back in highschool when I was swapping this over with my friends Tracy and Domini, after our Archie comics days. I wonder what happened to my TinTin collection?? I should try to look for that when I get back home soon.

Anyway, I can’t wait for the movie to come by December 2011! I should start collecting again. I MISSED READING!! Wanna curl up in bed again with a good book. Anybody knows where I can buy TinTin in Manila? Hmm..I’ll should scour by National Bookstore on the weekend.

Temporary Insanity
itsapurplehaze
So here I am, officially resigned from my work of 7 years. I can now declare that I'm a struggling bum. I've sorta made a list of what I need/wish/want to do over this time being. Here's a crap list I've come up so far:

- CLEAN THE HOUSE!
- throw all garbage/knicknacks that I've "collected" over the years
- have a clutter free house (for a change!)
- go out for dinner with the bf
- watch late night movies
- catch up on some overdue series
- go to the gym EVERYDAY!
- spend time on webcam more with the family
- go home to 2gue at least every other month
- GET A MASSAGE!
- GET A MANI-PEDI or DIY it!
- cook dinner for the bf
- have lots of ME time

don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna be like this forever. Probably for a few days or more likely a week. I'm starting a job soon so I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that. For now, I'm just gonna go with the flow.

Corporate slave turned BUM = HAPPINESS!!
